About the mill

A working mill, not a marketing office.

Marutinandan Spinning Mill sits on the western edge of Ahmedabad, a few kilometres past Sarkhej, where the cotton belt meets the city. The mill runs on ring frames and open end rotors, spinning cotton into yarn for weavers and hosiery units that want a steady supplier and a straight invoice.

The team is small, the shifts are long, and the yarn quality is checked cone by cone before it leaves the gate. There is no showroom, no glossy brochure, no distributor markup. Just yarn, packed in cartons, ready when you need it.

For every enquiry, the mill will tell you honestly what count is running that week, what the price is landed at your door, and how many days it will take. That is the whole promise.

The cotton we buy

We buy Indian cotton from the Gujarat and Maharashtra belts, sorted by staple length and micronaire before it goes into the blow room. Longer staples for combed lines, shorter for carded and open end.

The mixing is done by hand, checked by the shift supervisor, and logged for every lot. If the raw material is not right on a given day, we stop the frame before we ship anything doubtful.

What the mill can do this month

The mill runs on a mix of ring frames and open end rotors, sized for medium orders that most weavers and hosiery units actually place. We are not chasing container loads, we are here to fill your regular weekly requirement.

For bigger tenders, we can plan a schedule with you, block the frames, and stagger the delivery so your beam room never runs dry.

Process

From bale to cone

01Step 01

Cotton in

Bales arrive from the ginners, are sorted by staple and micronaire, and set aside by lot for the day's mixing.

02Step 02

Blow room and carding

The mixed cotton is opened, cleaned, and carded into a soft continuous sliver on high draft cards.

03Step 03

Draw frame and comber

Sliver is doubled and drafted for uniform count. Combed lines pass through the comber for a cleaner, softer yarn.

04Step 04

Roving and spinning

Ring frames draft and twist the roving into yarn at the required TPI. Open end rotors run the coarser counts.

05Step 05

Winding and QC

Yarn is wound onto paper cones, waxed where needed, and checked for count, twist, and appearance cone by cone.

06Step 06

Pack and dispatch

Cones are cartoned, labelled, and sent by our regular transporter to your unit. Local Ahmedabad orders often go same week.

How to order

Working with the mill

Most of our customers place orders on the phone. A quick call, a count, a quantity, and a confirmed dispatch date. That is usually it.

For a first time enquiry we will send you a sample cone once we know the count and end use, so you can run it on your loom or knit machine before you commit.

Call or WhatsApp with count, quantity, and end use.

Step 02

Sample

One or two cones sent for trial before bulk.

Step 03

Step 04

Dispatch

Cartons packed, invoice attached, transporter arranged.

Speak to the mill before you place your next yarn order.

Ask what count is running this week, what the price is landed at your door, and how soon we can dispatch.
